Tinwood

Tinwood Estate Sparkling Wine Tasting

2
The Tinwood Estate is located just three miles from my home, on the edge of the South Downs national park. Tinwood first set up their vineyard in 2007, and since have been producing three fantastic varieties of sparkling wine. From their Blanc de Blancs, and their Estate Brut to their cool refreshing Rosé.
Cesky Krumlov

Cesky Krumlov – An Amazing Bohemian Trip

While I was on my recent trip to Prague I decided to visit the city of Cesky Krumlov, located in the Southern Bohemia region of the Czech Republic. Cesky Krumlov is located on the banks of the Vltava river and its 13th century gothic castle overlooks the stunning bohemian city below, now a UNESCO world heritage site.
Bergen City Break

Bergen City Break

4
For the first of my Autumn 2016 trips I decided to visit Bergen, in Norway. Bergen is located on the west coast of Norway, and is the gateway to the famous Norwegian Fjords. Bergen is also famous for its picturesque harbour, with its colourful wooden-cladded buildings lining the water front. I have always wanted to visit the Norwegian Fjords so this was at the top of my to do list on my Bergen City break.
Cornish

Cornish Treats

After my first visit to Cornwall three years ago I try and keep at least one weekend per year free to take a trip down to this beautiful part of the country. This was my fourth trip to Cornwall, and there is still so much left to explore.

Un Week-end Merveilleux à Bruxelles!

The latte and smoked salmon and scrambled egg bagel we grabbed at St Pancras somewhat compensated for the rude awakening at 05:00 on Saturday morning. Getting on the first train to Victoria, then the London Underground to St Pancras allowed us to board the 08:58 Eurostar service to Brussels. After a quick journey through the garden of England, and under the English Channel, we were soon flying through stunning French and Belgian countryside, whilst sipping champagne and enjoying a snack of saucisson. We arrived at Brussels Midi station just two hours later, a few minutes after midday.
zagreb

Zagreb Luxury City Break

When it comes to city breaks, I love nothing more than exploring new places. Don’t get me wrong, I have been to, and love all the classic city break destinations such as Amsterdam, Barcelona, Rome, Venice, and even New York. But I also enjoy exploring somewhere a little less popular and off the main tourist trail.
Munich Christmas Market by WorldWideWill

Munich Christmas Market

I booked my recent flights to Adelaide on Qatar Airways, which had a Munich departure because of a fantastic deal that I found online. As my flight on Qatar Airways was a mid-morning departure I chose to fly out to Munich the day before and I spent the night in an airport hotel. I thought this would be an ideal opportunity to visit the Munich Christmas Market.
Best Pierogi in Gdansk by WorldWideWill

The Best Pierogi in Gdansk

6
One of my favourite foods in a Gdansk is Pierogi. Pierogi are a small polish dumpling, which visually are a cross between Japanese gyoza and a small Cornish pasty. Pierogi can have many different fillings, and the texture and look of the Pierogi can vary massively. On my most recent trip to Gdansk I set out to find the best Pierogi in Gdansk.
Corfu

Corfu, A Luxury Weekend in Greece

I stumbled across flights to Corfu whilst on the British Airways website looking for reward flight availability for a short summer getaway. Up until this point I didn't even know British Airways flew there, and when I looked into it I found out that it is one of their new routes that started in May. The 3 hr 15 min flight departs Heathrow Terminal 5, four times a week direct to Corfu.
Restaurante Sobrino de Botin

Dinner at Restaurante Sobrino de Botin

When I travel abroad one of the biggest things for me is being able to enjoy the local cuisine. The Spanish cuisine is one of my favourites, so while I was in Madrid this summer I had to revisit Restaurante Sobrino de Botin.
Bologna City Break

Bologna City Break

Italy is a country I find myself returning to time and time again, I don’t necessarily go back and visit the the same city every time though. Don’t get me wrong, I have been to both Rome and Venice more than once, but I do like to explore some of Italy’s other fantastic cities. For this trip I decided to visit a brand new city and found myself booking a Bologna City Break.
Evening in Salamanca

An Evening in Salamanca, Spain

When driving from northern to southern Spain the most direct route is from San Sebastian to Madrid then on to the Costa del Sol via Granada, which is the route that I have taken on all my previous trips. However, on my must recent trip with my father to southern Spain we decided to take the Autovia Ruta de la Plata, in English this means the Silver Route.
Jurassic Coast

Jurassic Coast – Dorset, UK

6
The 2005 Radio Times poll named the Jurassic Coast the fifth-greatest natural wonder of Britain. It is definitely at the top of my list, alongside Glen Coe in Scotland. The Jurassic Coast is located on the South coast of England, running 96 miles from Orcombe Point in Devon, to Old Harry Rocks near Swanage in Dorset. In 2001 the Jurassic Coast was designated a World Heritage Site, the second site in the United Kingdom.
Sunday Roast

Best Sunday Roast in Cornwall

I recently went on a short break to Holywell Bay, near Newquay in Cornwall with some friends for the bank holiday weekend. When I'm at home, Sunday is a day for having family or friends over to visit and to enjoy a traditional Sunday roast. If I'm away for the weekend, it's the one thing I really miss. However, when I'm away for a weekend within the UK, I don't have to go far to find a cosy local pub to enjoy my Sunday lunch.
Isle of Wight

Is There More to The Isle of Wight

5
The Isle of Wight, with its stunning coastline and beautiful beaches, has long had a reputation for being a holiday destination aimed at families who want a budget summer holiday close to home. The result is that the island has also gained the reputation as offering nothing more than beaches and amusement arcades.
Ljubljana City Break

Ljubljana City Break

For a while now, after seeing pictures of this beautiful city, I have been longing to visit Ljubljana. One day earlier this year I stumbled across some extremely cheap flights, so I thought why not, and went ahead and booked my Ljubljana city break.
Lake Bled Weekend Break by WorldWideWill

Lake Bled Weekend Break

Hidden away amongst the snow capped Julian Alps in Slovenia are the crystal clear waters of Lake Bled. The turquoise waters glisten in the sun and are surrounded by colourful forests and vivid snow-capped...
Venice City Break by WorldWideWill

My Winter 2018 Venice City Break

I have been to Venice many times, it's one of those places that I could return to time and time again and would always find something new to see or do. While perusing the destinations on offer in a British Airways sale last year I found a deal to Venice for £100pp for flights and hotel, and at that price I couldn't resist booking myself a cheeky Venice city break just before Christmas 2017.
