After much deliberation I booked my trip to Beijing, but within days of booking I had already booked some internal flights to Shanghai so I could enjoy, not only a trip to Beijing, but also a Shanghai city break.

If it wasn’t for finding an amazing Chinese New Year offer on the British Airways website where they were offering two Club World returns to China for £2018 I wouldn’t have had this fantastic opportunity to walk on the Great Wall of China. This was a deal that I just couldn’t resist, so soon after hearing about this deal I booked a cultural Beijing trip for myself and three friends.

One thing that is on many people’s bucket list, including mine, is to walk the Great Wall of China. While I was in Beijing I booked a day trip to the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall of China which enabled me to tick the Great Wall of China off my bucket list.

Six years ago while returning from Australia I had a night stop over in Kuala Lumpur. It was only a flying visit and ever since this stop over I have wanted to return, so the easiest thing to do was to incorporate a Kuala Lumpur city break into one of my trips to Australia. So my plan was to visit for a decent amount of time on my way back from my most recent trip to Australia.

When booking a trip to Australia from the UK you have many airline choices, and with that comes the question of whether to have a stopover or not. To me a stopover isn't just a break between flights, but a chance to explore somewhere new, or maybe even a city break in itself. On recent trips to Australia I have experienced stopovers in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, but this time I wanted to see somewhere new, and the destination at the top of my list was Hong Kong.
