During my 4 month trip to Australia I decided to take a Sydney city break, to explore what this fantastic city has to offer....

To start my four month trip to Australia I flew Qatar Airways Business Class from Munich, Germany to Adelaide, Australia, changing planes in Doha, Qatar. On previous trips I have flown to Australia with British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Emirates, Malaysia Airlines and also Qantas. With all the amazing deals which have been available recently on Qatar Airways Business Class, I thought that I should book my next trip to Australia with Qatar Airways.

I know Christmas is over now for another year, but before it slips too far way I wanted to share one last Christmas experience which I had over the festive period, while I was on my travels through Australia - The Lights of Lobethal.

I booked my recent flights to Adelaide on Qatar Airways, which had a Munich departure because of a fantastic deal that I found online. As my flight on Qatar Airways was a mid-morning departure I chose to fly out to Munich the day before and I spent the night in an airport hotel. I thought this would be an ideal opportunity to visit the Munich Christmas Market.

For my main Christmas market break this year I chose to visit the Brussels Christmas Market. I chose Brussels this year because when I first visited Brussels a couple of years ago I thought that the architecture in the city centre was absolutely stunning, and that it would make the perfect setting for a Christmas market.

My first Prague city break was two years ago and I absolutely loved it, from the beautiful gothic architecture to the great food and, of course, the delicious Czech beers. Since my previous trip I've always wanted to return to Prague, so when I decided to plan a trip to Cesky Krumlov with friends, Prague was the most obvious choice as a base, and destination to fly into.

While I was on my recent trip to Prague I decided to visit the city of Cesky Krumlov, located in the Southern Bohemia region of the Czech Republic. Cesky Krumlov is located on the banks of the Vltava river and its 13th century gothic castle overlooks the stunning bohemian city below, now a UNESCO world heritage site.

While I was deciding on destinations for my Autumn 2016 city breaks I came across flights to Eindhoven with prices starting at £24 per person return. When you think of city breaks to the Netherlands, Amsterdam and Rotterdam usually spring to mind, but not Eindhoven. So I thought I would book an Eindhoven city break so that I could discover what Eindhoven has to offer as a city break destination.

After I have completed the last of my five exciting Autumn city breaks, I will be home to recharge my batteries for just two days before I jet off again, this time on a 17 week trip to Australia. I plan to spend a large chunk of my time in Adelaide, South Australia, but I also have many trips planned to other parts of Australia as well as Asia. I will be checking out some amazing destinations, and I will also be checking into some fabulous hotels, and sampling the newest premium products from British Airways and Qatar Airways. Here is just a taster of what is to come.

For the first of my Autumn 2016 trips I decided to visit Bergen, in Norway. Bergen is located on the west coast of Norway, and is the gateway to the famous Norwegian Fjords. Bergen is also famous for its picturesque harbour, with its colourful wooden-cladded buildings lining the water front. I have always wanted to visit the Norwegian Fjords so this was at the top of my to do list on my Bergen City break.

The next three months are going to be an exciting time for me. I have five city breaks planned over the next three months, I will be returning to a couple of my favourite European cities which I have visited over the past couple of years. I also plan to visit a few places for the very first time. Here are my next five city breaks which I have planned, and some of the things I plan to do.

For those of you who have not yet planned your last minute escape for summer 2016, fear not! Here are my recommendations for great city breaks for summer 2016. Whether you're looking to spend a couple of days somewhere close to home, or if you fancy venturing a little further afield. I'm sure one of these fantastic destinations will take your fancy.

The South Australian city of Adelaide is known for many things, but mainly for being home to some of the best wine regions in Australia, and even the world. Adelaide is also known as the "City of Churches”. Another thing Adelaide is known for is its fantastic and diverse culinary delights. From fresh, locally caught seafood and locally grown produce, to delicious treats from Asia and beyond. Adelaide is a melting pot of different cultures. Eating in Adelaide is a tantalising experience for everyone's tastebuds.

Bilbao, known as the capital of the Basque Country, is a port city located on Spain's northern coast. Surrounded by rolling green hills, Bilbao is located in a valley on the banks of the River Nervión, and is the 5th largest urbanisation in Spain. Bilbao city centre is a mix of modern skyscrapers as well as many traditional buildings in the old town. Some say Bilbao is the home of authentic Spanish cuisine, and this was something that I wanted to find out for myself on my recent Bilbao city break.

I recently went on a short break to Holywell Bay, near Newquay in Cornwall with some friends for the bank holiday weekend. When I'm at home, Sunday is a day for having family or friends over to visit and to enjoy a traditional Sunday roast. If I'm away for the weekend, it's the one thing I really miss. However, when I'm away for a weekend within the UK, I don't have to go far to find a cosy local pub to enjoy my Sunday lunch.

Copenhagen has long been on my city break to do list, so one evening when I stumbled across some cheap flights I decided to book a Copenhagen city break. I booked my flights with Norwegian, who fly between London Gatwick and Copenhagen 5 times a day. The return flight cost just under £50pp. Norwegian is a low cost airline which is rapidly expanding their services from London Gatwick, and have the added advantage of free wifi onboard.

I enjoyed my Porto city break last January so much, that I knew I just had to go back and see more of this wonderful city. So when I saw this great deal to Porto, I just knew that I had to book it straight away.

For a while now, after seeing pictures of this beautiful city, I have been longing to visit Ljubljana. One day earlier this year I stumbled across some extremely cheap flights, so I thought why not, and went ahead and booked my Ljubljana city break.
